During the Master in Cybersecurity & Risk Management, students will learn
Foundations of Cybersecurity & the Threat Landscape
Understand the industry's dynamics, threat actors, and core technical baselines. This module explores how systems, networks, and cloud infrastructures actually work, enabling students to comprehend how attacks unfold across the cyber kill chain (MITRE ATT&CK). A specific focus is placed on fundamental security essentials, including cryptography, identity management, and core information security principles for effective response.
Cyber Risk Assessment, Strategy and Governance
Explore strategic management and analytical practices to identify, assess, and quantify cyber risk in financial terms. The module delves into international frameworks to optimize organizational defense while maintaining business continuity. Participants will gain insights into:
• Risk Quantification: Applying methodologies like NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27005, and the FAIR model.
• Financial Protection: In-depth analysis of asset valuation, cyber insurance, and risk transfer.
• Executive Reporting: Building and presenting formal risk registers and risk-appetite statements.
Governance, Regulation & Technical Defense
A deep dive into complex regulatory environments and defensive network architectures. From compliance policies to hands-on configuration, this module provides the skills to successfully secure international organizations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Navigating GDPR, NIS2, and DORA for the financial sector.
• Technical Architecture: Network security, segmentation, Zero-Trust, and cloud hardening aligned with the Cisco certification track.
• Supply Chain Risk: End-to-end management covering information security auditing and third-party risks.
Threat Detection, Incident Response & Cyber Range Simulation
Analyze the transformative role of advanced defense operations. This module explores live experiential training inside a controlled virtual environment that mirrors real enterprise networks. Students will discover how to alternate between red and blue team exercises, launching and defending against realistic threats while running a modern Security Operations Centre (SOC) from detection to forensics.
Cyber Resilience, Future Trends and Ethics
A forward-looking module merging emerging technologies, business leadership, and compliance. Explore how artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation are reshaping modern security operations and threat analytics. Simultaneously, it addresses crucial managerial and legal challenges:
• Crisis Management: Business continuity, disaster recovery, and executive decision-making under pressure.
• Security ROI: Integrating strategic budgeting and performance metrics to communicate cyber risk to the board.
• Data Privacy: Secure and legal management of corporate information under the guidance of the DPO.
Security Architecture, Technical Defence & AI-Enabled Cybersecurity
A hands-on technical module aligned with the Cisco CyberOps Associate track, covering defensive architectures: network security, segmentation, VPN, Zero-Trust, identity-centric security, cloud and endpoint hardening. It also explores AI security from a technical perspective — defensive and offensive AI use, securing AI-enabled systems, and identifying generative AI vulnerabilities.
